The 2015 Vietnam International Tourism Mart (VITM) will take place in Hanoi from April 3-6, with the opening ceremony held on late April 2.

Themed “Vietnam – The Land of Heritages”, the third VITM intends to popularise Vietnam’s UNESCO-recognised heritage sites and attractions to travellers at home and abroad. It will feature 355 booths of Vietnamese travel agencies, hotels, tourism offices and airlines.

Travel agents, tour operators and hotels from 24 other nations and territories will also showcase their products and services at 141 booths.

A series of activities, including seminars, cultural performances and traditional culinary demonstrations, will be organised during the biggest international tourism event of the year in Vietnam.

On this occasion, airlines plan to offer around 15,000 discount tickets, priced from 190,000 VND (8.93 USD) for international flights and from 333,000 VND (15.50 USD) for domestic flights.

Also on offer are 8,000 tours with discounts up to 50 percent, 600 hotel and restaurant coupons, and a variety of lucky draws aiming to promote domestic tourism.

Deputy Director of the Vietravel Company Tran Tuan Anh said that during the event, the company will provide customers with tours to both domestic and foreign destinations with discounts up to 52 percent.

Meanwhile, Hanoi Red Tours will offer hundreds of zero-profit promotion tours. At this year’s fair, besides familiar places like Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore, the company will offer tours to new and attractive destinations such as the Philippines and Kenya. It will also organise more tours to Vietnam’s tourism attractions, including Da Nang, Can Tho, Quy Nhon and Tuy Hoa. The company expects to provide services for around 2,500 people during the event.

Most of Saigontourist’s products offered at the VITM 2015 will focus on the theme “Vietnam – The Land of Heritages”, with tours to the localities which are home to UNESCO-recognised natural and cultural heritages, such as Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh and Thua Thien-Hue.

On the 40 th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the travel company offers tours to Ho Chi Minh City and the southwest region as well as to the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition and the Ha Long Carnival Festival.

Korean tourism promoted at Vietnam International Travel Mart 2015

The Korean Tourism Organization at Vietnam (KTO), along with the Jeju Tourism Organization and the Korea Association of Travel Agents, will participate in the Vietnam International Travel Mart 2015.

The event will be hosted at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Centre in Hanoi from April 3 to 6.

Under the theme “Imagine your Korea”, visitors to these organisations’ booth can discover useful information and tourism products that will be sold during the coming spring and summer.

Vietnamese travel agencies have been on a marketing campaign promoting various new products tailored for this spring, such as the Korean Spring Blossom by Vietravel Hanoi, the Spring Flower Festival by TST Tourist and the Korean Spring Flower Season by Hanoi Redtours, among many others.

In 2015, KTO Vietnam entered into collaboration with local travel companies to develop new and specific products to meet the specific demands of Vietnamese tourists.

Notably, products like a bag packing holiday in Korea promise to draw much attention from tourists who want to experience and explore Korea in their own ways, at their own pace. These products provide some services like visa processing, flight tickets, hotels and airport shuttle.

In addition, KTO is developing a K-pop show tour for young people who love the Korean wave and a trip called “Biking at Jeju Island” for those who love mountain biking. These products will be released next May.
