ITINERARY IN DETAILS
Day 1: Saigon Arrival
When arrival in Saigon, pick up and transfer to the city center. Free and easy.
Day 2: Saigon – City Tour (B,L)
Pick up at hotel or airport. Then discover history and culture of Saigon with stops at:
- The symbol of Saigon – City Hall
- Opera House
- Central Post Office
- Notre Dame Cathedral
- China Town
- Thien Hau Temple
- Reunification Palace
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then visit a lacquer factory and Ben Thanh market.
Day 3: Saigon – Mekong – Saigon (B,L)
Start from Saigon to My Tho around 1.5 hours by bus. Then the morning trip will start by taking small boats and cruising on the river to visit a coconut factory to learn about the way how to make coconut candy here and taste some local products. Then you have a chance on horse-drawn carriage through the village and enjoy some kind of tropical fruits. After that, the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal is something you cannot miss. Lunch will be served in heart of the garden with a special Mekong River’s style.
One more islet in this trip will bring you to a bee farm to enjoy honey tea, local products… and enjoy the Southern Vietnamese folk music. Return to Saigon in the late afternoon with a visit to a lacquer factory. Overnight at Saigon.
Day 4: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – Dinner on Cruise (B,L,D)
This morning, you will visit Cu Chi Tunnel – an underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese soldiers during the struggle for independence. Stretching over 200km, this tunnel network, dug by hand, connected shelters, posts, hospitals and weapon bunkers…
Cu Chi Tunnels today looks like an outdoor museum. You can walk through the area and learn about the life of VC, face the cleverly disguised entrances and elaborate booby-traps…
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant by the riverside. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant by the riverside before coming back Saigon. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Saigon.
Around 7pm, the bus will bring us to enjoy dinner on cruise. The cruise will drive along Saigon river about 2 hours passing many nice landscapes. On board, you will enjoy music from the band, dancing…Overnight at Saigon.
Day 5: Saigon – Departure (B)
Free and easy till airport time.
