Quang Ninh holds exhibition on World Heritage sites in Viet Nam

A wide range of photographs and keepsakes of Ha Long Bay and other World Cultural Heritage sites in Viet Nam are on display at an exhibition held in the northern province of Quang Ninh on October 31.
The exhibits include the 90 best photos of Ha Long Bay and 8 prize-winning souvenir designs capturing the beauty of the bay, which were carefully selected from recent contests.
The exhibition is part of activities marking two decades of Ha Long Bay’s recognition as a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO (December 17, 1994 – 2014).
The recognition acknowledges the bay’s exceptional rock cave and limestone mountain system, which took millions of years to form, as well as its outstanding biodiversity.
Since becoming a World Heritage site, Ha Long Bay has welcomed nearly 25 million visitors, contributing to turning Quang Ninh province into a tourism magnet.
Besides Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam has seven cultural and natural World Heritage sites which are the Complex of Hue Monument, Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, the Central Sector of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long – Ha Noi, the Citadel of the Ho Dynasty and the Trang An Landscape Complex (2014).
